USA FAQs

Is the GRE mandatory for US universities?
Many programs still ask for the GRE, but a growing number have made it optional or waived it — especially post-pandemic. Our counsellors check the latest requirement for each university on your shortlist so you only sit the tests you actually need.
Can I work after graduating in the USA?
Yes. All eligible graduates get 12 months of Optional Practical Training (OPT). STEM-designated degrees qualify for a 24-month OPT extension, giving up to 36 months of work authorisation in total.
How much bank balance do I need for an F-1 visa?
You must show funds covering one year of tuition plus living expenses — typically USD 30,000–70,000 depending on the university. This can come from savings, an education loan sanction letter, or a sponsor's documents. We help you prepare a clean, visa-ready financial file.
When should I start my US application?
Ideally 10–12 months before your intended intake. That leaves comfortable time for tests, applications, the I-20, and the F-1 visa interview without last-minute stress.
